Spikes in organic traffic are a great side effect of digital PR, but they’re not the long-term goal.
Our team use strategic digital PR campaigns to consistently boost organic traffic, improve domain rating (DR), and increase Google rankings.
Here’s a recent digital PR project we did for US Therapy Rooms that doubled organic traffic and secured the #1 ranking spot on Google for highly targeted keywords.
US Therapy Rooms was our client for this campaign. They have a massive directory of office and salon spaces to rent for therapists and beauticians.
Therapists look for specific features that regular rental offices might not have, so this is a great niche platform with the potential for huge reach.
However, the biggest challenge they faced was platform awareness. If therapists don’t know about their platform, they’ll use the established real estate platforms to find rental space.
Our goal was to boost rankings for targeted keywords to funnel therapists looking for rental spaces to our client’s website.
Journalists from major platforms are always looking for licensed therapists and psychologists to provide expert insights for their articles.
Having a quote from a certified therapist boosts credibility, so there are countless requests for insights on the major journalist platforms.
Since the founder of US Therapy Rooms is also a licensed psychologist, we had a wide range of outreach options.
Our team created an author profile for Dr. Daniel Glazer that showcased his expertise and qualifications, which made him stand out on journalist request platforms.
Through months of work on outreach, we built 29 high-DR links in a wide range of publications, including:
The quality of the links acquired during this PR campaign made all the difference. The average domain rating (DR) of the linking sites was 83.9, with an average audience reach of 16.8M.
You can see on the graph below exactly when some of the most high-profile links went live:
Although those spikes in traffic are great, it’s the sustained increase in traffic we were more interested in.
We doubled the daily organic traffic to US Therapy Rooms from 800 to 1.6K. However, there were some fantastic spikes up to 3.4K daily visitors toward the end of the campaign.
The most important outcome of this digital PR Campaign was the boost in Google rankings.
We got our client to the top spot of Google for two ultra-targeted keywords:
This means our client now has consistently high traffic and organic leads funneling to their website every month.
Spikes in traffic look great on a graph, but the aim of digital PR is sustained boosts in traffic and rankings.
If your campaigns aren’t boosting organic traffic and rankings consistently, they’re not working effectively.
Always track rankings for your targeted keywords and traffic changes over time to assess the long-term impact of your digital PR outreach.
